Description:
Production welding requires technical training in welding and ten or more years of related experience. May require special certification. Under limited supervision and minimal technical guidance, positions material to be welded and apply hand-eye coordination to achieve the desired weld. Materials welded may include steel, stainless steel, aluminum, or other alloys, and the methods may include shielded metal arc, gas-tungsten arc. Demonstrated ability to assess and make informed decisions regarding the repair or modification of existing weldments. All-position welding may be required.
Preferred:
Experience using overhead and jib cranes
Stick welding is a plus
Experience with lift machinery such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts
